Clwb Criced Aberystwyth Cricket Club

Croeso i Glwb Criced Aberystwyth!

Welcome to Aberystwyth Cricket Club! The current Club is not the first to bear the name of Aberystwyth Cricket Club. The first Club was formed in 1830 and there have been several incarnations since, but the Club in 2011 is different from its predecessors in respect - it is the proud owner of its own ground.

The Committee and members are very proud of the facilities gradually being upgraded on their ground at The Geufron, in the Rheidol valley east of Aberystwyth. Since the former England and Glamorgan stalwart, Peter Walker, performed the opening ceremony in 1997, the Club has expanded its facilities and activities.

The Club plays in the West Wales Conference and the First XI are hoping to regain the Championship in 2012, following the success enjoyed by local rivals, The University Commoners, last season. There are two senior teams at weekends, besides teams at U11, U13 and U15. We welcome new players, young and old, so if you are interested in playing cricket please get in touch! Training sessions are held every Wednesday evening between 6pm and 7.30pm.
